Mural viewpoints

Here is a composite view of details from the Blue Heron, as I am on the high scaffold level,  finishing the mural last week.   Things got into a good working rhythm with afternoon shade and great weather to keep the paint into that plastic state to push and pull the colors for blending and layers….really was fun to make the whole wall activated with energy, color and brush strokes.    The best for me was to work  on this scale and make  details happen up close, realizing that no one will be this close again!   See how this all contributes to the overall effect…and was worth it!   Thanks again to all who helped me with the mural last fall, and who have been watching the progress this spring!

We had a great First Friday Celebration, and Spencer completed his WallWorks mural that afternoon.   His painting is very intense, with interlocking design and illusions in a ‘street art” style.   Congratulations and Thank you Spencer!
