Mural & WallWorks Progress With June First Friday Celebrations

Work will begin again this spring on the mural, with the goal to finish and refine, as I am eager to adjust and detail this large painting.   I will be on the high level again, weather permitting!   Keep watching the changes and the impact of this landmark public artwork.

Also follow the first WallWorks temporary mural painting being made by Spencer Pacheco.   He is starting this week, with impressive free-hand drawing to lay out the complex interlocking design.  Then he plans to add intense color and dramatic graphic interplay.   Spencer is a UNL art student, whose proposal was accepted for this visible exposure.

Artist-in-Residence Christine Style

It was great to have Christine in the studio in late April for a week residency.   Chris is a professor of art at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, and it was an honor to host her while she is on sabbatical.   She worked on an exchange portfolio print edition, and also became deeply involved into the complex carving of a large scale relief block!   We shared good travel stories, viewing the beautiful song scrolls she brought from India, and some concentrated time in the studio.   Thanks Chris for your ideas and support!
