What a great and productive residency for Brian Curling at Constellation Studios! Working in the “most beautiful print studio”, Brian carved and printed a multilayered color reduction woodcut on exceeding thin Japanese kozo papers, that he sews together, allowing for the layers to optically mix and float open to reveal the illusive image. Really a beautiful print created in early April, while spring is struggling here. Brian presented a Gallery Talk on his circular path of his influences and life to a packed crowd of students, friends, and his former professors, all joining for conversations and a treats.
