Block Printing – thinking from black to white

Carve on linoleum for fluid mark-making and pattern play.  This relief printing process tests our “reductive” thinking as we work from black to white, removing highlights and creating graphic impact.  We will also try out HIP (plastic plate) that can be used like wood-engraving, enabling detail on a small scale.
