A Bookmaking Workshop: Influences East & West

A hands-on workshop to make interesting book forms: the Japanese stab binding and the Coptic binding with hard covers. We will make pages of sumi ink washes and stains, and our own marbled papers. These books will create interiors of unusual juxtapositions and sequential orders, and exteriors that feel right in the hand for movement and tactility.   These books are meant as a keepsake or journal.
